Change of policy and the can now properly come after you - and some are. However, if you use a proper POPLA appeal (not theirs), it's almost guaranteed to get you off (no one's not got off yet if they appeal properly).

Just got one rescinded. f it's breach of contract, they can only 'fine' you what they've lost financially from breach of contract - they'll provide a list of costs, but it'll be running costs - not direct loss.
First thing to try though, is to go back to the shops and complain to the managers - they can get it cancelled.
