I once got Putney's autograph

Was at an end of season open day, all the players milling about on the pitch with lots of Mums and Dads and their awe struck children.

He signed 'Al Pacino'. Odd. But at least he could form words and letters, which Mr Keith Bertschin couldn't! He was another to see the light wasn't he?

Must have been 82 or 83, something like that, so i was 12 or 13, thereabouts.
