MOTD

What a bloody awful cliche ridden representation that was last night. The love-in with all things Liverpool at the start (apparently second best isn't good enough at Liverpool), then there's Jonathon Pearce's cliche ridden love-in with Brendan Rodgers (apparently Liverpool and Swansea play it out from the back in the Brendan Rodgers way). Then of course we move on to Norwich. So we get the inevitable shots of Delia, the 'nine years' since 'let's be having you' and a shot of the Chief Exec in tears at the end without any attempt to explain the man's personal grief. As if that's not bad enough, we'll condemn the first half to twenty seconds because it was awful and then we'll let two of the most ill-informed pundits talk the biggest load of ignorant nonsense which has little correlation to what went on on the pitch. Just how we were so disjointed and so afraid as a team and yet beat one of the top five whilst restricting them to two shots on target is beyond me but obviously not our Danny. With his continual sighs, just to emphasis how sage-like his next sentence is going to be, he managed to talk absolute utter twaddle. I know he dislikes us (it's mutual Danny) but I'd still expect that he recognises a certain duty to provide a bit of fact and common sense. It's all ever so slightly worrying though because I like to think that when I watch MOTD or listen to BBC Five Live. I'm getting an impartial view of football but it makes you wonder the accuracy of what's spouted about other clubs where I don't have a decent in depth understanding of the club they're discussing.
