Happy boy

Earlier today, couple of hours before kick off, I had reached a low ebb. But now I'm a very happy boy. Crazy how football can affect you.

Some very good performances today. Entire defence, other than the mandatory bass 'what the f**k is he doing' moment, was good. Ruddy was excellent, top saves but claimed a lot of balls into the box with great authority. Back to his very best.

Tettey was excellent, but Johnson was even better. No reckless giving the ball away, no heavy touches, and the assist for the goal was superb. Such a shame he didnt score from that freekick. Redmond didn't quite scale the heights today, but just his presence on the pitch changes our scope because he has pace. Snodders was good after a slow start and took his goal very well. If he can return to form of last year for the rest of the season it would be a massive boost.

Rvw was decent. Not good, but decent. Credit to the boy, he refused to go missing and kept plugging away. He made the goal through grafting and following that I thought second half was the best he has played since everton. His touch noticeably improved and few punts up field began to stick with him. I bet he's gone home happy from work for the first time in a while and I hope he can build on this next week. Hoops did well when he came on. The ball he played to tettey late on he would never have played 6 months ago. He would have just hurried it himself!

Overall, great team performance and an entirely unanticipated 3 pts. Lovely stuff!
