old tech question on tablet choice - any hudl owners here?

Birthday coming up in march, company keep failing to deliver on their promise to get me an ipad.....getting sick of waiting and happy to get a 7" tablet to tide me over till they do....missus has about ?50 in tesco vouchers.....would bring price of a hudl down to about ?80.... are they ok enough for web browsing, wrathing, ebay, facebook, google.etc??
