That we'll be hunky dory are precisely that: assumptions. Because did any of us really see what was coming in either Summer 1995 or Summer 2005? Not a bit of it; I know I thought we'd bounce straight back up both times.

But there will be a reason why our Chief Executive has described relegation as "in a sporting sense, worse than death". It might be that we literally can't afford to go down at all.
