Maybe you could approach it differently. Me and mrs mbk don't do Valentine's, never have.

We have separate holidays away with friends every year and a holiday together, always have.

Been together nearly 18 years, married for four of those.

Communication is key. Keep it lively, keep it fun and do stuff together.
