So it looks as if Safri is off in January then.......

if what Alan claims Delia said to him is true and if The Man in the Stands speculation is correct (which if you think about it it probably is).

This is very worrying. Safri is class imo. However is Carl Robinson a good enough replacement for him? I don't think a player who cannot get into Sunderlands team is good enough for us.

With Ashton i feel also likely to be on his way in January coupled with the fact that Davenport will be gone after the Crewe game (and very unlikely to return also) i have a bad feeling that we could have some very dark days ahead of us during December and January.

I am not being negative but think about it. The only fit forward in our team who can score goals gone (yes, i know he hasn't scored in nine games but you know what i mean), the man who imo makes our midfield tick gone, and the man who has helped our defence look a bit more solid gone to be replaced by the nightmare that is Fleming and Doherty.

Worthy may well be gone soon but we will be a team without a manager for a while.

The darkest period in the clubs history since the Chase era lie ahead i am afraid.
