Short answer, not much. It's clear that Worthy has lost the plot and that the board, either through loyalty or aprehension, can't face sacking him. It doesn't seem to me likely that Worthy will resign because I can't imagine a stack of clubs coming in for him.
But hope springs eternal. We will probably lose next week at Crewe. (I must make it clear that I hope we win, but I think we'll lose). Then we have Southampton at home on 17th December and I don't think either the Board or Worthy could face the angst that there will be, so there will be a "mutual parting of the ways". We then should really try hard to get Burley, despite the baggage. Remember, any other name that's been on here would require a comoensation fee, and we wouldn't want to get into that I'm sure. Then, hopefully we can recover enough to be in a position to get a top 2 place next year.
I'm afraid that if Worthy stays it's much more likely to be a bottom 3 place this season, so now's the time.
