11 months, worthington bit the bullet and decided to give helveg a chance at right back

against liverpool, and we played well, no holt

The game was lost by an error by charlton down the left, and a ridiculous piece of play by fleming

Other than that, we played decent stuff, Crow got his debut and looked really good. The squad was a bit bare with injuries but it looked good

A week later, instead of building on this, worthington chose his best squad available for the cup which we would never win, and we didn't have the squad for a cup run. He should have picked reserve players. We lost, Helveg got injured for 3 months, Huckerby got injured, and we never saw crow again

The whole thing meant holt was back in the team and we went from a promising formation against Liverpool, back to the s**tty "come and beat us" tactics that Worthington famously uses this season

Fairly by the by, but that was about the time last year when I knew we were going down

It took till the man utd game to see helveg back in the team at right back and holt not in midfield. It was also the famous worthy quote about players not having anything to grumble about at the end of the season saying they didn't get a chance. That was silently aimed at Safri, and backfired on worthy cos he was looking forward to say I told you so if we lost, and we won. It was that point when I truely realised we had the wrong man in charge

When I think about us in the prem, I think about that West Ham game as it was a make or break game, ignore the cup and concentrate on survival, or give it a crack with a nothing thread bare squad and ruin the season further
