Well, I remember the day Worthy announced that triple signing ...

... I was on the Net at work and someone asked me what was going on the football, and I said, "We've signed three new players. They're all f**king s**t, but there's three of them". He asked who they were, and (naturally) had never heard of them.

My jaw dropped when we signed Hughes. I can't remember the last time I was that dismayed at a signing, given the money involved for the quality of player. Mike Milligan in 1994, maybe.

Colin and Marney I thought might be reasonable signings - sadly that doesn't seem to be the case.

But when I saw Francis, Svensson, Mulryne, Helveg, Crow, Edworthy, Holt etc all leave and nobody really replacing them, I thought we were in for a hard season.

But I never, EVER imagined it would be this bad.

I'm not *that* bothered about it at the moment as there are plenty of other things going on in my life at the moment, but I still care deeply about Norwich City - I can't detach myself from it completely. I grew up with the tail end of Stringer and the Walker years, then the dark days of Chase when I was at school.

But I've seen Worthington's team on plenty of occasions and I've always enjoyed it. Until now. Worthy's reign has been exciting, infuriating, uplifting and agonising, but it's the worst thing of all now - predictable and boring. Just as it was under Walker (Mk II), Rioch and Hamilton. And he has to go.
