We'd just gone out of the cup a couple of weeks before and if my memory serves me the day before the clubs best ever manager Dave Stringer had parted company with us. It was the only time i'd ever stood on the River End. The terrace was rammed that afternoon as the Barclay invaded the cabbage brigade.

They actually seem happy days in comparison with the dross thats being served these days. The players of this season just hold no comparison with the team of the early 90's. In fact im emarrassed to even regard some of them as some of my own. Get rid one and all.
