It is ultimately do do with Hughton

Because ultimately I don't believe this whole situation would have arisen if he was happy and playing under Hughton. That's what makes this particularly difficult for us fans because we have to back the club/Hughton in this but deep down I suspect a large majority of us would prefer Wes to stay and play and Hughton to go. As things stand we probably end up losing on both fronts!
