I agree with this...

...some of the reaction and vehemence directed at Hughton seems, to me, a bit pitchforky.

A point against a superior top-half team with a good away record seems like a decent point to me.

Hughton kept us up last season with a mix of his own and Lambert's team, the leftover feeling of the Lambert era was enough to see him through, now with his own team pretty much built the "second-season syndrome" is kicking in, If we're still in the Premier League but underperforming by the middle of next December, then I think there's something to worry about.

Boring football? Tough s**t, football is a results business, not an entertainment business, in spite of what Sky have been trying to tell you for the last 20 years.
