but the simple fact is under Lambert when the fullback had the ball, he had the option of going long to the striker, or short to the defensive midfield, or wes coming deep from the tip o' the diamond, or Pilks or whoever was wide left.
Our passing was always fast, whether short or long.
Last night, and pretty much since Lambert and his coaches left, our passing has degraded, and the links we used to have have disappeared. Too often a midfielder or striker would be hiding in line with an opponent, leading to pretty much all our passes going astray for the first 45 mins.
In summary: Bielsa, in June, with the training cones. Battered.
