Excuse me if I am wrong but aren't both of these guys more of a financial persuasion than anything else in terms of their careers?
If so, it strikes me that now we are debt free and so long as we stay up, where is the challenge to them? We aren't conceivably going to be any more successful without either significant investment or risk taking, and they may therefore think that they have done what they were tasked with when they joined and be on the look out for their next role.
I may be completely wide of the mark here, just something that I've thought of since the latest accounts were released.
