I don't think Adlerweireld and Ranocchia are two or three steps above

Bassong or Turner. What kind of player would you say is in the steps in between?

I would say they are a slight improvement - perhaps enough to give us a chance to break into the top 10. Even so, they obviously think we are too small/don't pay enough.
