If this thread isn't already dead, I'd be pleased if someone could explain to me

is he being ironic, or am I supposed to be laughing AT him rather than WITH him, and is that HIS idea or OURS? He seems to be complaining about the terms people use for gossiping. He isn't serious, I think........ I know nowt about Twitter so I'm fairly sure I've missed the gag, but I'm not sure which gag I've missed.
