As soon as you put your foot on the floor in the morning (say, after a run), those fibres need to stretch out and get used to your feet and motions again
If you jump out of bed and walk on them all clenched up and stiff, you'll probably fall straight over. Then you'll wondered what injury you have. Then 5 minutes later you'll be walking fine and assume it was just cramp.................until it happens the next day, and the next :s
