You'll probably get a running trainer and get a lot of relief. Then in a years time you'll probably start to feel it again
You'll realise that even though your trainers are fine, the front cushioning will have worn slightly from the year, and it's enough to aggravate the joint
At this point you'll realise you probably need to replace your trainers on a yearly basis :)
