Think the most depressing ones in my memory were

Ward and Newsome within about six weeks of each other in 1996 (I think). Not necessarily because they were the best players we'd ever sold - far from it - but more because they were so important to us at the time, and with every sale like that it just felt like the world (Chase) was conspiring against us.
