surely if it's just about price we'd accept his transfer request

but say it was dependent on someone meeting an acceptable price.

Rather than just rejecting it outright.

On the bright side, he's someone we could probably let rot in the reserves for 4 months without missing him so we are in a fairly strong bargaining position.
