But fair play: we had to win the game. We won the game.

The real acid test is Newcastle though. Win, and we'll be where we could've been after Swansea: in safe, comfortable waters. Fail to win (and I'd say a draw is most likely) and the drifting will begin again.

He wouldn't still be manager if it was up to me - but it's not up to me. 3 win-or-you're-sacked games; 3 wins. So he survives, and we're 3 points nearer safety.
