although the improvement thing is a bit of a harsh stick to hit him with. Most of the players he inherited aren't here any more to be improved (and no-one else in the Prem thought they were 'improvable' either, hence the fact that virtually all of them are plying their trade in the Championship). And 30 year olds like Holt and Hoolahan aren't really improvable either.
