why would we care what they say?

as long as we're happy.

Of course it could just be PR from both sides, making it look like you've done well.

In reality I suspect we'd have wanted more and they'd have wanted to pay less (hence the tribunal), but no-one is going to come out and say that and make it look like they 'lost'.
