Yep, statistically true

They love pies and beer, have loads of smokers, and now prefer to watch sport than do it - hence why their medal hauls at Olympics etc have gone down of late.

They also have a massive problem with gambling. When I went over there on holiday in 2008 I was shocked at how easy it is to gamble - I know it is over here, but there every pub and bar as a "TAB" betting desk or machine in it.

On the plus side, I did get to see their Rugby League team get smashed in the World Cup final (League world cup, yes I know it's small time etc etc) by New Zealand - the Aussie papers the day before were so self-congratulatory ("no one can match us, we'll win by 40" etc), it was delicious to see them lose in hilarious fashion. There were 5,000-plus "Poms" there on package tours (following England, who were s**t and went out to NZ in the semis as usual) all supporting the Kiwis - amazing day!

Nothing better than watching Aussies get beaten in their own backyard. Pity our cricketers have been smashed in every game thus far this tour? D'oh!
