You press the up button and with a whoosh the lift rises majestically

Such is its velocity you find youself putting an arm out to brace youself. Your palm hits the wall of the elevator with a thud, and a small panel, previously unnoticed, drops open with a clang below the two buttons. Almost at the same time the lift jerks to a halt, and the doors open to reveal a well lit lobby.

Do you enter the lobby or look in the secret compartment?
