Re McNally and relegation. Pink'un retraction coming up?

Just noticed one of their pieces quoting that McNally "would prefer death than relegation" which isn't actually what he said. That'll have his teeth gnashing...

He had the sense to qualify it but it still seems an odd thing to say.
