Don't understand the bile at Hughton for last night. You can't say we went out with a negative attitude because we came out positively from the start. Also we kept going right to the end - I bet the ball spent way more time in their penalty area than ours. I can't really remember a single attack of theirs other than the goals.
We lost because of three criminally conceded goals from hopelessly sloppy defending and because we couldn't seem to put in even a remotely decent cross despite endless opportunities.
But those problems come down to execution not 'tactics' or 'approach'. Once the players get over the line, whatever your tactics etc, you need players to actually be able to peerform the basics right which quite a few didn't yesterday.
You can whinge about the team selection (Fox??) but with a crucial game coming up on Saturday and resources a bit thin I think it was surely understandable.
