but I'm used to feeling excited about the next match and the prospect of us causing upsets in the same way that WBA, Hull and even Sunderland have of late.
It doesn't make any sense that I should want the club to be relegated for my entertainment (and I don't want this to happen) as it would be disastrous from a business perspective, but I feel flat and uninspired by what is being served up under CH.
I know we've been unlucky with injuries but the lack of passion currently being shown by some very talented players is a major concern to me.
I can't be the only one who would want to take a chance on the twins or other fringe players if we don't start to pick up wins in the six point games?
If we are relegated without a whimper, I would regard it as the biggest 'management' failing I have witnessed as a fan of the club. I can fully understand why McNally is sticking to his guns, but it is an enormous gamble in my opinion, when other clubs near the bottom are starting to spark and grind out wins.
The term 'be careful what you wish for' has never been more apt in my humble opinion. Two wins would change everything but the feeling around the club tells me that this is unlikely to happen when it needs to. We are effectively in a 2nd division of 8 to 10 clubs and should be capable of finishing outside the bottom 6.
Monday morning and all that, but I wonder how many other fans feel equally depressed by what is unfolding.
