Most of them have had quite awkward injuries, which is a problem we haven't had much in the last few seasons. Also trying to introduce so many new players all at once is something few teams manage to do successfully. Lambert, although probably not by design, didn't have so much team upheaval in one go. He also rotated the team a lot more, which may or may not have kept players fresher and may have made new players bed in better.
Personally I wouldn't have bought so many, I would have preferred to try to get one really good player rather than several, especially as we were losing the top scorer and captain.
