As Norwich manager, and have developed a bit of a rep for myself as a doomsayer on here too.
But sorry: this isn't in the same galaxy of awfulness as Norwich City 2005-9. You reckon this is a worse time than 05/6, with the entire club at war with itself all season long? Worse than May 2009, when they unbelievably confirmed Gunn in the job after he'd just relegated us to League 1? Worse than when they let a Facebook campaign started by his daughter decide the identity of the manager?
It's not worse than the interminable years of mid-table nothingness of 1995-2001 either: a period when the club shrank year on year, and it was a shock to even still be in play-off contention by March. Didn't play much football in that time either: only early in Walker's return really.
What we're seeing right now isn't a Premier League thing, or a Norwich City thing. It's a Norwich City under Chris Hughton thing. Change the manager, and it'll stop. This isn't some fundamental change in identity that's going on at all; it's temporary.
