As a City fan then you simply must do all you can to get him to be a City fan. In reality Norwich won't finisher higher than maybe 7th 8th occasionally and unlikely to win many cups regardless of manager.

Manager change, players change directors change , the fans will always be there and there will be good times ahead

If all anyone wants is top 3 finish and cups then get him to support manure (?) Man City or Arsenal. It is the easy way to be a fan.

Real fans support their club, just encourage him that Norwich is his club. Make it interesting even if it is not, ( you may have to be creative sometimes!)
