He's out of contract in the summer

If bid is true I guess it's us gambling on stumping up a significant enough figure now to tempt Inter to cash in rather than wait and get nothing.

Good attempt if we genuinely tried, but he played nearly 40 games for them last season and Chelsea are supposedly interested too, so very optimistic.

But hey, if we keep aiming high eventually we might get one or two in who are way above the quality we have at present.
