Plus you have the tantalising prospect of Villa possibly going down without him, which would remove a rival team from the picture for a season or two.

As a business decision, I'd probably sell him and deploy the capital elsewhere. But whilst football is a business, it's still a competition so you can't ignore the intangible value of not assisting a rival.

(Unless we know something about Wes that they don't, and we're very confident that he wont be that much help to them)
