kind of a forgotten player for them
Pollitt is a fine stopper, Thome was unlucky for his chance in the team, but showed intelligent back up.
Connelly seems to be forgotten by a few as well
Wigan have slightly overachieved so far, but then again a team winning most game the season before, normally carrys on winning with confidence (except us, cos worthy decided a draw was the only thing to play for in the prem)
Although they have overachieved, they are still a team that deserves to finish 11th
The only thing thats a concern for them, is if they finish high. If they do, then they will get the opposite and will be the team to beat next year, and then it could be a bumpy season
It would do Wigan a favour to finish 14th and be the type of "scraped survival" team instead of the "god they're great they finished 6th last year"
It's happened to Everton this year despite them bringing in good players. They are starting to win now though, and should have a good season from now on
