Suggs....did you end up buying any of the Game of Thrones books?

I've just been given an old Kindle which has some of them on it (books 1,2,3 and 5, but not the fourth one, which is a bit annoying).

I'm trying to decide whether to be patient and start with the first book or just to dive straight in and read the third.
