can't immediately think of a must-see, so if you like I'll flap my head for a minute

what've I seen recently.........um

There's an Estonian film called Puhdistus, translated as The Purge, which was engrossing but I may just recall that first because I accidentally d/led a yank film also called The Purge which has possibly the most ludicrous plot in living memory and is so damn weak because of it. Bounty Killer is LOADS of fun, tongue in cheek guns n gangsters and girls in short skirts packing pistols etc; Elysium was OK, Oblivion wasn't; Only God Forgives was a bit tedious and took the worst part of Drive and expanded on it, to fairly putrid results; Sound Of My Voice, with the excellent Brit Marling, is a very clever piece if work with her trademark great ending; I enjoyed Byzantium; Kick Ass 2 was a big disappointment; Entrance just kind of lolls along for 4/5ths of its length, holding your attentuion and then just pungs off in a completely unexpected direction; I think you'd like John Dies At The End as it's a bit different; Side Effects was really good; if you want to watch pacific Rimjob, just take two of your kid's toys, hold them in front of your face and bang them into each other for an hour and a half while making Pow Clang Wallop noises.
