Two penn'th'worth'

I don't doubt (now, Tricky) that PL wants Wes.

Does anyone seriously think that CH will let him go before having a replacement lined up, with the way transfers work these days?

As much as Wes might fancy a move, do we know for sure (as opposed to messageboard hyperbole) that he isn't happy here in the meantime?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if CH has said to Wes that he can go with his blessing as soon as he's got someone else in to replace him, but obviously until then he's a Norwich player and will be expected to perform.

It's then up to McNally and the board to screw Villa on the fee if they wish to. Wes is under contract. We're under no obligation to sell, and if Villa want to change that, they have to pay for it.
