Lambert only managed it in the diamond and to be fair

when we played the diamond at prem level it did not work as teams had too much quality down the flanks where we were badly exposed.

Wes is best in the position he played v Man United a couple of weeks ago which was one of the best performaces from him i can recall for quite some time and in terms of the passing and movement (if not finishing) a very good performance from the team. He actually fits perfectly with Hughton's preferred formation as he operates well behind a lone striker.
