This is why I'm surprised Lambert is in for him

Quite a gamble from PL if he thinks he can get the kind of performances he needs out of Wes. Especially when he hasn't worked with him for nearly 2 seasons and, as you say he is now over 30.

The Lambert I remember wouldn't be looking at Wes, he may be more desperate than we realise.
