Agree - but

My Dad was a hockey umpire (quite decent, regional standard) and he loved it when an advantage he had allowed worked out.

I'm sure he wouldn't have done what Dean did on the pitch but he would have told me about it (at great length) after a beer or two late in the evening when we'd got back from our games.
