or is it just that the modern fad is for midfield stifling football. As pointed out, there are only about 6 or 7 o exciting teams in the whole division (none in the bottom half). Maybe the games are not exciting because the other team is making it that way at least as much as us?
Against Fulham we actually played a pretty open and attacking 4-4-2 formation but Fulham's packed midfield meant we couldn't get enough of the ball. I'm sure if they had played 4-4-2 too it would have been a much more exciting game!
