I read ambition in it's positive sense in the context of that game

and many others - including the magnificently insipid performance against Fulham thrashed 6-0 by Hull on Saturday.

I don't concur with the "Hoots is negative" arguments (he played Wessi yesterday for example); but I do believe he is tactically over cautious putting shape & game plan above all else and, in particular, plays the wingers wrong, which limits opportunities for the striker(s). He also seems incapable of proactively changing things either by a sub or a tactical tweak, which is why we see so many like-for-like subs.

It's so frustrating when with a little (positive) ambition we could have 5 or 6 more points and be comfortably mid-table.
