Anelka knew exactly what he was doing

This has been news here in France for months and even if there was any debate about what his gesture is about, the fact that there is a suggestion of anti-semitic connotations means Anelka knew what kind of reaction he would get, indeed, he got exactly what he wanted.

For his Club to defend him as Rowland did is even more regrettable and makes him/them look even more stupid for not making themselves aware in the immediate aftermath.
