He is a very Last On Match Of The Day manager, and no-one gets a throbby football horn about being last on Match Of The Day.

Thing is, getting rid of him, and getting a new boy in, smacks of Something Must Be Done! This Is Something! Therefore This Must Be Done!

If appointing a successful manager was easy, as easy as it is often suggested on here, then no clubs would ever have bad managers. Any manager is going to have faults. Might as well have one who is one of those rare specimens in football management: a decent bloke.
