totally agree, the cheaper PC alternative to macbook airs are the Ultrabooks

some have 128/256 SSD , some have hybrid SSD cache drives which work well if you use mostly the same programs on the machine. (big hard disk plus SSD speed)

The SSD only machines have great battery life plus the latest intel 4th gen machines (I5/I7) have turbo boost 2.0 which speeds up the machine even more if you need it.
