From what i have read from

players autobiographys/newspaper articles about players who player under O'Leary, a lot have said the same thing, a crap manager who got ludicrously lucky at Leeds due to the outstanding crop of youngsters coming through at the club at the right time for him. Granted it was him who gave them the chance, but a lot of his ex players said he would get "found out" eventually and it looks like they may be right.

Lee Sharpe said for example, "When O Leary first took over from George Graham he didnt have a clue how to take training, he used to stand scratching his head for ages on end before deciding that 2 hours of volleying footballs of the top of cones would be the best preperation for Saturdays game against Manchester United"
