Overly cautious and respectful of all opposition irrespective of league placing then perhaps the players should shoulder the blame for the no show at Fulham. Perhaps being at home with the family on Xmas day is a disadvantage (turkey, pudding etc) and you are able to prepare more professionally in a hotel.
