Just being long and 'reasoned' doesn't make it remotely accurate. It states things as being 'facts' that are in fact highly uncertain. I don't think there was any evidence whatsoever that our approach yesterday (for instance) was governed by fear and negativity yet Billy states that we do this every single game as though this was an unquestionable truths
Also, it ludicrously overstates the impact managers have on what happens on the pitch. It isn't FIFA 2014 - once players are on the pitch and making split-second decisions they don't have time to be constantly thinking about instructions. Managers give teams an overall shape and strategy but the overwhelming majority of on-field decisions are made by players off their own back.
Managers don't "tell" players to be spontaneous (or not to) or "off the cuff" - by definition if they had time to think about such an instruction it wouldn't be spontaneous!
